Wedding Timeline Thoughts

Twenty five years ago, this June, I began my career in the wedding/event photography industry. As a young student and graduate of photography school, I secured a dual position in the Boston area’s premier wedding studio. I instantly became a weekend wedding photographer and an interoffice customer service/wedding consultant.

I was responsible for firming up all the photography details for up to 400 Bride’s annually! That is a staggering number of phone consultations and event time line ananlyses. Not to mention quite a bit of talking. Multiply that by 6 years at the studio, plus an additional 19 more on my own. I can say when it comes to defining a realistic time line for your wedding event, not even a wedding planner can match my wit. Pardon me if that sounds a bit presumptuous, but I know what I know. I share my experience with my Brides and part of the reason I stay so calm on a wedding day, is because I know we left no stone unturned.

Planning, discussing, and firming up your details, in advance, is an integral part of the photography process. Always keep me updated on changes and look for your final consultation to be schedule approximately three weeks prior to the event. On the day of your wedding, I will have you started and finished on time,with all of your personal requests completed. There is always room for unforeseeable changes, but at least you can be assured you have a professional with years of experience in your corner taking care of all the details.
